Indigo Hamlet - Hypoplectrus Indigo

The indigo hamlet is patterned with darker blue-black bars over a blue body, distinguishing its coloration from species like the plain iridescent blue hamlet. It is the only barred hamlet that is blue rather than brown or tan — its bars are blue-black on a blue background rather than brown on a tan or white one. Indigo hamlets are notably the only morph to consume fishes — primarily blue chromis and sunshinefish — almost exclusively, likely related to their apparent mimicry of those same species.
