Butter Hamlet - Hypoplectrus Unicolor

The butter hamlet has a whitish to pale yellow head, body, and most fins, with the pelvic fins distinctly bright yellow and the pectoral fins clear. Its most diagnostic feature is a black saddle blotch on the caudal peduncle, which varies in size and can sometimes be accompanied by a black spot on the snout. It is the only hamlet that combines an overall pale/yellow body with that dark tail saddle and yellow pelvics but lacks bars, a black or brown body, blue body coloration, or any striking facial mask.
